  • Ensures the company meets its obligations under the Workplace Health & Safety Regulations
  • Ensures all OEM Warranty procedures are adhered to at shop floor level
  • Ensure prompt & diligent attention is given to all Safety recall programs.
  • Acts on all product upgrade opportunities advised by the Manufacturers.
  • Monitors the on-call technicians and review the mobile phone call register.
  • Other tasks and duties as directed.

The Role

This role comes with a lot of variety and will expose you to all aspects of the trade however focussing on Metal Engineering Fabrication. Your responsibilities will include;

  • Metal Fabrication and welding
  • Sheet Metal work
  • Plasma cutting - use of computer controlled equipment
  • Plan and organise work
  • Read and interpret plans
  • Carry out measurements and calculations

What are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will possess the following;                      

·        Be prepared for physical work,

·        Confident using computers and other technology

·        Possesses a passion for the industry and a keen interest in welding

·        Possess the ability to follow instructions,

·        Have good communication skills,

Our client operates plasma cutting machines and Robot Welders on site with the opportunity for possible expansion on the type of equipment short and long term. The ideal candidate will meet outcomes where technology can be used into the future and develop skills to promote this.

Working full time Monday - Friday, you will be given time on the job to attend TAFE (change as necessary). You will also have the support of a Squad Mentor who will visit you on site on a regular basis throughout your Apprenticeship.

Squad in conjunction with our host employer who specialise in commercial roof plumbing is seeking a well-presented candidate to join their team as an apprentice roof plumber.

This is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience and training from qualified professionals and undertake study to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

The Role

This role comes with a lot of variety and the chance to get some highly sought-after experience. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

  • Installation of roof sheeting, drainage components, wall cladding, skylights and ventilators 
  • Repairing and maintenance of guttering, down pipes, roof flashing and roof coverings 
  • Fabricate and instal external flashings 
  •  Work safely on roofs

  • Drivers licence and vehicle 
  • Be physical fit

Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic - 3rd or 4th Year

The Role  

This role comes with a plenty of variety and the chance to get highly sought after experience. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;  

  • Undertake repairs, tune-ups, maintenance and servicing
  • Dismantle and overhaul engine assemblies, transmissions and steering mechanisms
  • Troubleshoot issues and resolve in timely manner
  • Use welding, machining or hand tools to repair parts  

What are we looking for?

  • Someone with a genuine interest in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
